    Exhibition "Fighting and suffering. Polish citizens during World War II" prepared by the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk in cooperation with the Polish MFA was officially opened at the Hellenic War Museum in Athens. Presentation until 20th of September.

    The exhibition is a story about the Polish experience of World War II, paying special attention to showing the tragedy of war and the efforts of the Polish soldiers and civilians to regain an independent homeland.

     

    The ceremony of the opening gathered representatives of Greek public administration, armed forces, diplomatic corps, media and youth. Chargé d’affaires of the Polish Embassy Tomasz Wiśniewski and council of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic War Museum brig. Panagiotis Anastopoulos gave a welcome speeches.

     

    The next places in Greece that the exhibitions will be presented are War Museums in Nafplio, Tripoli and Thessaloniki.
